We landed on the name "Skenoma" by seeing its use in Acts 7:46. The NASB states, "David found favor in God’s sight, and asked that he might find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob."
Skenoma, σκήνωμα, is defined as a tent or tabernacle of the temple for God's habitation.
We love to create atmospheres where people can step into the tent of God's habitation and dwell with him. We all need to cancel out the noise of our busy lives and simply dwell in his presence. Therefore, Skenoma exists to help ministry leaders with their Disciple Nows, Retreats, Camps and other ministry events to draw people into God's dwelling place.
Cody's world was turned upside down when he attended his youth group's summer church camp in 10th grade. It was the first time that he understood God loved him unconditionally despite of his sin. Ever since then, Cody has been working or volunteering with youth groups across Texas. He has a desire for everyone to know God personally, and he loves to create environments where people can dwell with God.
Cody graduated from Texas A&M in 2015 and Dallas Theological Seminary in 2019. He is married to his wife, Laston (btw she is awesome!). They reside in the DFW area where they currently serve at Watermark Community Church.
